Callistus Amandi
There I am—standing in the middle of the classroom, quietly watching over a sea of focused faces. Each student is hunched over their paper, deep in concentration. The rustle of pages and the occasional scratch of a pen are the only sounds breaking the silence.
As I walk between the rows, I’m not just supervising—I’m holding space. I know how much effort has gone into preparing for this moment, and I feel a quiet pride in the discipline and determination these students are showing. My role here isn’t loud or dramatic; it’s steady, observant, and quietly supportive. I’m the calm in the room, the reminder that someone is watching—not to catch mistakes, but to ensure fairness and protect the integrity of the process.
Something is humbling about being part of this ritual. Exams aren’t just about grades—they’re about growth, resilience, and learning to trust oneself under pressure. And as I stand there, with my Elegant International School, Poi Pet, Cambodia ID badge hung on my shirt, I’m reminded that even in silence, presence speaks volumes.
